Amitai Ziv Medical Simulation Center Amitai Ziv, MD, MHA

Founder and Director

Amitai Ziv is the founder and Director of MSR, Israel's medical simulation center, and is also the Deputy Director of the Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer.  Dr. Ziv is a Pediatrician; he received his MD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed his Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at Penn University's Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.  Dr. Ziv is a world renowned expert in the field of medical simulation, having first been exposed to simulation-based training in the Israeli Air Force where he was a combat pilot.

Dr. Haim Berkenstadt Medical Simulation Center Dr. Haim Berkenstadt, MD

Deputy Director of Medical Affairs
Haim Berkenstadt is the Director of medical affairs at MSR. He is also the Director of the Department of Surgical Day Care and Anesthesia C at Tel Hashomer.  Dr. Berkenstadt received his MD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and completed his Fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine at Guy's Hospital, London, UK.

Kim MacMillan Medical Simulation Center

Kim MacMillan, MBA

Deputy Director MSR
Kim MacMillan is the Deputy Director of MSR responsible for business development and international affairs. She received her International Executive MBA from the J.L. Kellogg and Leon Recanati Graduate Schools of Business – a joint program of Northwestern University and Tel-Aviv University.  Prior to her position at MSR, Kim was the General Manager of New York, Caribbean and Central American offices of the Italian retailer Benetton and in Israel, Kim co-managed investment portfolios for a small partnership.

Yaron Munz Medical Simulation Center Yaron Munz, MD

Director of Surgical Simulation

Yaron Munz is the Director of Surgical Simulation at MSR.   He received his MD from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in HaifaDr. Munz completed his Fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery and Allied Technologies, under the supervision of Prof. Sir Darzi at the Imperial College , St. Mary's Hospital in LondonDr. Munz is a Senior Surgeon at the Department of General Surgery and Transplantation at the Sheba Medical Center and an expert in endoscopic surgery and surgical technologies.

Amir Vardi Medical Simulation Center Amir Vardi, MD 

Director of Pediatric Simulation
Amir Vardi is the Director of Pediatric Medical Simulation at Israel's Medical Simulation Center.  He is also responsible for the development of medical simulation training aids.  He received his MD from the Tel-Aviv University, Sackler School of Medicine.  Dr. Vardi is a senior physician and the Director of ECMO at the Pediatric Critical Care Department at the Sheba Medical Center.

Shuli Benita Medical Simulation Center

Shuli Benita, RN, MA

Director of Simulated Patient Training
Shuli Benita is the Director of Simulated Patient Training at MSR. She was first introduced to simulation-based training as an Officer in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Combat Training School. She is a registered nurse and holds a Masters degree from the Tel Aviv University School of Nursing. Prior to joining MSR, Shuli worked as a cardiac intensive care nurse at the Sheba Medical Center and was a Senior Lecturer in emergency nursing care practice at the Barzilai Hospital Nursing School, Ashkelon, Israel.

Director of Hi-Tech Simulator Training

Inbal Levin, RN PCCRN, MA

Director of Hi-Tech Simulator Training
Inbal Levin is the Director of the Hi-tech computerized Simulator Training at Israel's Medical Simulation Center. She is a registered nurse and holds a masters degree from the Ben Gurion University, Recanati School of Health Professions in Clinical Care. Prior to joining MSR, Inbal was head nurse of the Pediatric Critical Care Department of the Safra Children's Hospital at the Sheba Medical Center and on the board of the Ministry of Health's examination committee for a course in Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care.

Edna Keidar Medical Simulation Center Edna Keidar
Director of Administration
Edna is also Dr. Ziv's executive assistant.
She was part of the initial team that founded the simulation center.  Prior to joining Sheba Medical Center, she was an assistant pharmacist.

Ravid Segal Medical Simulation Center

Ravid Segal, MCSE

Director of Technologies
Ravid Segal is the Director of Technologies at MSR. In his position, Ravid is responsible for the planning, purchasing, development, deployment, and maintenance of simulators, equipment, and technology at MSR. Prior to his position at MSR, Ravid worked for the computer unit at the Sheba Medical Center. Ravid holds an MCSE diploma from the Hi-Tech College in Israel.

Orli Rubin Medical Simulation Center

Orli Rubin, MPS

Director of Marketing
Orli Rubin is the Director of Marketing at MSR. Prior to joining MSR, Orli held various marketing and IR positions in Israeli high-tech companies, including Rimed, Cimatron and Baan. Orli holds a masters degree in Telecommunications from New York University. She also completed a business administration program for executives (TELEM) with majors in International Marketing and Finance at the Leon Recanati Graduate Schools of Business at Tel Aviv University.

Zvika Marcus, BSc - Director of Information Technologies

Zvika Marcus, BSc

Director of Information Technologies

Zvika Marcus is the Director of Information Technologies at MSR. In his position, Zvika is responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance, deployment of all computers and network infrastructure at MSR. Prior to his position at MSR, Zvika worked for the computer unit at the Sheba Medical Center. Zvika holds a BSc Degree from Tel Aviv collage and he is certified by Microsoft (MCTS and MCSE).
